Heaven Consciousness
The scripture clearly tells us that heaven and hell are real. Therefore, the primary goal in our church is to make heaven. In order to achieve this, we incline our heart to the word of the scripture by living a holy lifestyle. In Matthew 13:44 Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field which a man found and hid, and for joy over it, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. He also continues in Matthew 16:26 saying for what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
Sound Bible Teaching
We are immensely committed to sound and unadulterated biblical doctrine straight from the Bible. Apostle Paul warns in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 that in the last days, perilous times will come….. And men would shift from being lovers of God to lovers of money and pleasure….. Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people, turn away. Sound biblical teaching is focused on the foundation of Christ who came, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended unto glory and seated at the right hand of the Father. Outside this, there is no gospel. Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I am determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
Commitment and Service
Commitment and service is a driving force that binds us together. In Sovereign Christ Fellowship, we are called to stewardship and discipleship. Therefore, we commit our time, our finances, and our collective efforts for kingdom building. John 2:17 says “the zeal for Your house has eaten Me up” Jesus also added in John 4:34 “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.”
Love for One Another
Our service to the community is born out of God’s love for us. Jesus says in John 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you that you love one another as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” He also commanded in the book of Matthew 22:39 saying “That you should love your neighbor as yourself. The love we share in our ministry speaks loud in our emblem that says “Love Unleashed”
Praying Without Ceasing
The strength of our ministry is built on the foundation of prayer. We wrestle in prayer at all times to uproot all forces of evil and to sustain the work of the kingdom. We always pray to strengthen one another as well as our communities. Luke 18:1, 2 Thessolonians 5:17.
Evangelism
We use different means such as social media, websites, street and park evangelism to reach out to the community for soul winning. To build a community of strong believers and to strengthen the body of Christ. We are committed to this divine mandate to raise disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ from across the nations through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and to equip the saints to use their God-given gifts for the work of the ministry.
Community Support and Outreach Programs
Our outreach event involves local and international activities. Local events include distribution of food, clothing and school supplies to the community, International events include providing support and assistance to churches and ministries in rural communities in Africa and other third world nations. We look forward to adding visitations to prisons and convalescence homes.
